Experience and Skills:
*Prior to every use, evaluate the equipment and confirm that the
equipment from a mechanical and safety standpoint is ready to use.
*Have the ability to build level land surfaces using graders,
bulldozers, and other construction equipment.
*Perform daily preventive maintenance on equipment as required
including fluid and filter changes and parts lubrication.
*Gather and load dirt and waste products from job sites onto trucks.
*Follow safety procedures and participate in weekly toolbox
meetings with crew.
*Notify the maintenance department once a mechanical defect has
*Observes job sites to prior to the start of work to recognize
problematic areas and potential areas that may be unsafe.
*Must attend required safety classes.
*Attend weekly Operational Training Classes.
*Operate the equipment to facilitate alignment, movement, or
adjustment of machinery, equipment, or materials.

Heavy Equipment Operator Skills and Qualifications:
The position should have knowledge of earthwork operations,
equipment, trucking and material transport. The position must have
the ability to perform basic math skills and follow written and
verbal instructions and relay them to the proper channels of
communication. Strong work ethic and willingness to work as a team
to efficiently complete jobs to the highest customer satisfaction.
