Diesel Technicians

Job Description:

ASI is currently looking for 2nd (1:30pm to 9:00pm)  and 3rd (9:00pm to 5:30am) Shift Diesel Mechanics to be part of the team. We are looking for Apprentice, Lead Diesel Mechanic, Oil Change Technician and shop Diesel Mechanic. The candidates will be responsible for the repair and maintenance of our tractors, dump trailers and various pieces of heavy construction equipment. This is a full-time position with possible overtime.

Experience and Skills:

*Diagnose and repair trucks and equipment in both the shop and possibly in the field.

*Perform inspections and preventative maintenance of trucks and trailers.

*Knowledge of methods, materials, tools, techniques used in Truck/Tractor repair and maintenance

*Diagnosing mechanical problems and performing repairs.

*All other duties as assigned.

*Knowledge of electrical systems including computerized induction/ignition systems.

*CDL License would be a plus.

*Must be able to lift 60 plus pounds.

*Must have own tools.

*Follow written and verbal instructions.

*Establish and maintain effective working relationships.

*Communicate effectively verbally and in writing.

Candidate should have strong work ethic and the proven ability to maintain and repair diesel trucks and equipment. Ability to safely work in fast-paced environment and maintain a positive working relationship with all employees. DOT certificate preferred by not required. Rate of pay will depend on experience.
