Job Description:

ASI is seeking for experience Paving Foreman. The purpose of this position is to provide overall on-site leadership and oversee paving operations, maintenance, safety and quality assurance. The Asphalt Paving Forman will work with the entire asphalt paving crew, ensuring a safe worksite and communicate all job-related information to Operations Manager and Project Coordinators.


Experience and Skills:

*Evaluate information to determine whether events or processes are in compliance with safety procedures, laws and regulations and enforce.

*Enforce safety procedures and participate in weekly toolbox meetings with asphalt crew.

*Identify the educational needs of others, and train or instruct them of appropriate methods.

*Observes job sites to ascertain progress of job, and identify if workers and/or equipment are being appropriately utilized.

*Compile, record, verify and submit relevant job information and forms for job costing to Field Coordinator on a daily basis.

*Verifies measurements, slope and thickness for compliance with contracts.

*Promotes individual and team accountability for quality and customer satisfaction.

*Communicate with persons outside of the organization, representing the organization to customers, the public and other external sources in an appropriate and professional manner.

*Operate the paving equipment facilitate alignment, movement, or adjustment of machinery, equipment, or materials.

*Read and relay job related information from work orders, plans, or contracts to asphalt crew.

*Correctly calculate and order job materials when necessary

*Enforce appropriate dress code and compliance of proper PPE at all times.

*Must be available to work on Saturday and Sunday.


The person should have extensive knowledge of paving operations, equipment, quality control measures.. The person must have the ability to perform basic math skills and follow written and verbal instructions and relay them to the asphalt crew. The ability to read blue prints, specifications and plans and calculate job site materials and trucking to maintain budget and job efficiency and place order when necessary. Strong work ethic and willingness to work as a team to efficiently complete jobs to the highest customer satisfaction.
