Job Description:

Join our team for the 2024 season at Asphalt Specialists, LLC., where a legacy of over 30 years in delivering exceptional asphalt services is fueled by the dedication of our outstanding employees. We are now accepting applications for Asphalt Rakers, Laborers, Rollers, Screw Man and Paver Operator with experience to perform tasks involving physical labor at construction sites. The person will work with a paving crew laying asphalt on roads, driveways, parking lots, etc. Must have reliable transportation. This is a seasonal job. Interviews will begin in February 2024.

Experience and Skills:

  • Prior to every use, evaluate the equipment and confirm that the equipment from a mechanical and safety standpoint is ready to use.

  • Distributes asphalt materials by raking.
  • Must be able to lift at least 75 lbs.
  • Matches and finishes freshly made asphalt paving joints to provide for a finished surface.
  • Frequently performs hand tamping jobs as appropriate on areas where the roller could not reach.
  • Perform minor servicing and maintenance of equipment; refer major problems to the Foreman.
  • Follow directions of Foreman as to daily tasks and expectations for each specific project or job site.
  • Follow safety procedures and participate in weekly toolbox meetings with asphalt crew.
  • Observes job sites to prior to working to ensure a safe work environment is present prior to working.
  • Must attend required safety classes.
  • Perform variable tasks that have been directed by the foreman.
  • Maintaining a clean and presentable work environment at all times.
  • Follow the dress code and compliance of proper PPE at all times.
  • Perform general labor duties when necessary.
  • Perform other duties as assigned.
